From the Director

Pakt Director Toni Burrow

Pakt Director Toni Burrow

Pakt has been serving the children and families of North St. Louis County for close to 50 years and, while the need for resources and services has only increased, due much in part to the current economic climate, funding to help the needy has continued to shrink since 2009. Pakt has survived in spite of the decline in funding, because of the sacrifices of staff, volunteers, individual givers and sustaining donors who answer the call to serve North  St. Louis County’s neediest children and families.

The children of North St. Louis County are not only the future of this community, they are also the community of today, and in Pakt’s eyes, there is no better investment. We appreciate all volunteerism  and monetary support toward this goal.

With community collaboration, support and prayers, I am confident Pakt will continue for another 50 years in providing enrichment, quality academic programming and cultural awareness to our families and children in need.

    Food Pantry

Pakt provides food for individuals who cannot feed their families due to financial crisis, allowing them to maintain acceptable dietary standards. This program allows participants in 18 North St. Louis County zip codes to provide food for their families during times when they have exhausted all other options.

  • From rental assistance to Christmas toy distribution, Pakt helps families in St. Louis stay in their homes while putting food on the table and presents under the tree.

    Core Needs

We provide mortgage, rental and utility assistance to help families and individuals avoid disconnection of utilities, or eviction from their homes. Our program is designed for anyone in our service area needing emergency help, regardless of income.

  • Tutoring

Pakt’s After School Activities are facilitated by volunteer certified teachers and include homework help, tutoring, mentoring, instructions in practical study habits, computer literacy, board games, in-season ball games and the benefit of nutritional living.

  • The Summer Day Camp serves children’s needs in the areas of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development with a curriculum that includes multi-cultural performances and art lessons.
